The southern side of The Temple Mount was the main entrance for the cJewish people in ancient times; whereas the Priests and Levites had their own entrance from the higher eastern side. Parts of the giant stairs, which led to the Temple Mount from the courtyard have been unearthed along with the purification pools (Mikvahs).

From here Jesus entered the Temple Mount and drove out the vendors and money changers who were exploiting the people. It is also likely that this is the place that Peter stood and preached Acts 2, when three thousand people were saved and baptized on the Day of Pentecost.

After our visit here we will drive to the northern border of Israel in the town of Metula to view the local border security fence. It was once called, “The Good Fence”. It is here that Christian Lebanese and members of the South Lebanon Christian Militia had free access to Israel during Lebanon’s civil war years. This Good Fence was able to sustain, supply, and allow these Christians access to medical centers in the region. This visit will give us a first hand account of the current situation on the border of Israel, Lebanon, and Syria. Next we will drive up to the Golan Heights and on our way there we will visit Caesarea Philippi.

Marom Golan and Emek Ha'bachah (the Valley of Tears) will be our next stop. This place was the site of the most heroic fight between the IDF and the Syrian army during the Yom Kippur War in 1973. We will view the newly redone film Oz 77, about the Yom Kippur War and discuss the security issues that persist 47, years since that war. A great time of praise & worship is awaiting us aboard a Sea of Galilee boat ride this morning. This is another exceptional experience. We will hear an inspiring message while taking in the area where Jesus walked on the water, performed miracles, and called His disciples. Here in the Galilee was Jesus ministry headquarters at Capernaum. This area is filled with Biblical sites and insights into the life of Jesus, the Jewish culture He was raised in and the lives of His followers.

After docking at Ginosar, Biblical Genesseret, we will visit the Primacy of Peter to see the area where Jesus asked Peter, ‘Do you love me?’, three times. Then we’ll proceed to Capernaum to see the remains of an early church, the ruins of Peter’s house, and the ancient synagogue.

We continue to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation and one of the world’s most panoramic sites, a view of the entire city of Nazareth, the valley of Armageddon, Mount Tabor of the transfiguration and the Gilboa range. This great vista is from the top of Mt. Precipice - the cliff where Jesus was chased away and was about to be thrown to His death by the worshipers at the synagogue. From here we will drive trough the Valley of Sharon to Latrun; an IDF Armored Division Center..

Two thousand and five hundred years ago, as Jerusalem was rebuilt by those who returned from exile, Nehemiah said: "From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other, and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked." Nehemiah 4:16-19.

In accordance with Biblical prophesies, Israel was reborn and just as in the days of Nehemiah, since her rebirth in 1948, Israel is in a continuous struggle for survival. More than ever before, Jewish soldiers, young Israeli, boys and girls, the “Shields of David”, are the defenders of God's Land. To honor them, our special program today is in Latrun - the official Israel Defense Force Commemoration Center and armament display. Latrun is the fortress that was strategically built on Israel's main crossroads and throughout history protected the Holy City of Jerusalem.

The program here will feature a full army ceremony including laying a wreath at the “Wall of Names", in honor of the fallen soldiers and pay tribute to the living. Here we will mingle with the young soldiers; we will be briefed by experts who will give us the opportunity to gain a better understanding into the region's conflict. Here we will pray for the young hero’s of Israel! A place to pledge our support and solidarity with the challenges that face Israel today. This is the place to renew and grow our love and support of the Nation God created and the people He choose to bring His eternal message to the world.
